Tanjung Perak Port

Surabaya – Surabaya Is one of big cities in Indonesia. Surabaya is also an industrial city and one of busiest ports in the country. He  also  have  Tanjung  Perak  Port,  the  second  largest  port  of  trades  in  Indonesia  after  the  port  of  Tanjung Priok and also supported by Teluk Lamong Port.

For  the  time  being  the  largest  export  and  import  are  by  sea  –  it’s  cheaper  than  ship  by  air. Many commodities had imported or exported through Surabaya port, Tanjung Perak and Teluk Lamong i.e. cocoa, coffee, machinery, spare parts, textile etc. There are shipped by LCL and FCL.

  • LCL : Less than Container Load
    It used if your cargo is not enough for one container. It will be shipped combined with cargo from others company
  • FCL : Full Container Load

If you’re also going to export or import by sea (FCL) for the first time, please check the size/dimension of your  cargo  before  shipment,  is  it  appropriate  for  20’,  40’  or  40’HC.

Please also check type of container needed,

  • general purpose container
  • thermal container (container with temperature control)
    => Reefer container,it’s for perishable cargo (vegetables, fruits, fish, meat, etc.)
  • tank  container  (for  liquid  or  gas)
  • platform container (Flatrack)
    => usually use for over dimension cargo likes machinery, travo, forklift etc.
